He then had enough space to let his interior design flair express itself. Lenny installed high-tech metal beading, retro-style gilded French furniture and a stylish zebra-look chair. The musician went on to design other homes he bought in New York, Miami and the Bahamas. His designs were so successful that he received the attention of magazines like Harpers Bazaar, Interior Design, and Vogue. Lenny has been using his talents to design his friends' homes for a long time, sharing his tastes for retro, eclectic and classic interior styles. He went on to develop this residential capability into larger interior designs for commercial firms, and this is what was behind the creation of Lenny's design business called Kravitz Design. He brought two partners on board, and together they have worked on many successful projects including a penthouse recording studio in Setai Beach, Miami and a number of hotel interiors in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The firm still designs residential interiors, and has a number of upscale projects in its portfolio, including homes in Portland, Oregon and Miami Beach. I am a grandmother of twelve grandchildren, and a grrreat grandmother of a beautiful little grand daughter. Two of my grandsons are autistic and one of me grandsons has verbal apraxia.
